Sylvester was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. From an early age, everyone around him knew that he was going to be a preacher. As a young man, he decided that he would fully accept his call to ministry and listen to and follow the Lord’s leading.  Sylvester is an international speaker, which has led him to speak in over 30 states and 10 countries.

 

Under the leadership of Bishop Simon Gordon, Senior Pastor of Triedstone Full Gospel Baptist Church, Chicago, IL, Sylvester has been part of and given leadership to several ministries and last year was integral in starting Triedstone’s College Ministry.

 

Sylvester received his bachelor’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, IL in Christian Education and Biblical Studies. During his time at Olivet, Sylvester started a prayer ministry with just 2 friends which have grown to over 80+ students meeting every Tuesday evening on campus to pray. 

 

Sylvester is currently pursuing his seminary education at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston, IL to further his education and continue to grow more in knowledge so he can bring the whole gospel to those near and far.

 

Sylvester has spoken at many conferences and as a revivalist, spreading the gospel. Sylvester’s ministry has reached thousands of people from all age groups and backgrounds. At a young age, he has been blessed to be a friend and mentor to several pastors. He has a true passion for the word of God and the people of God.

 

Sylvester currently resides in Evanston, IL with his wife, Narmaly and their daughter, Mia.
